My family and I love trying different dumplings from Costco, and Mila Beef Pho Flavor Soup Dumplings caught our attention right away. The idea of a dumpling filled with rich beef pho broth and tender meat sounded like a dream. They’re flavorful, easy to prepare, and a fun twist on traditional soup dumplings.

Here’s my full review, including how I cook them and what makes them worth trying!

    Product Overview

    • Filling: Savory beef pho broth with beef and aromatics
    • Wrapper: Thin, soft dumpling skin
    • Cooking Method: Best in a bamboo steamer (how I make them!)
    • Cost at Costco: Usually $10–$15 for a 34 oz bag
    • Total Dumplings per Bag: Around 30 dumplings

I love that this bag lasts for multiple meals, making it a good value for a unique and flavorful dumpling option.

    Location in store

This Mila dumplings are located next to Bibigo Steamed Chicken & Veggie Dumplings– Costco, Bibigo Kimchi and Cheese Filled Rice Balls and Suji’s Golden Bao with Pork in the Freezer section of your local Costco.

    Taste & Texture – A Pho Lover’s Dream?

When I took my first bite, the rich beef pho broth immediately stood out. It has that deep, slow-simmered flavor with classic pho spices like star anise and cinnamon. It’s not overwhelmingly strong but definitely captures the essence of pho.

The meat filling is tender, though I wouldn’t mind a little more beef in each dumpling. The wrapper is thin, soft, and delicate, which works perfectly for soup dumplings—no thick, doughy texture here!

How My Family Feels About Them

We all really like these dumplings, but they didn’t quite reach a perfect 5 out of 5. The broth is fantastic, but sometimes the meat filling feels a little light. Still, they’re something we all enjoy as a quick and easy meal.

    How I Cook Them

Since these are soup dumplings, the best way to cook them is by steaming—and my preferred method is a bamboo steamer. It gives them that authentic, restaurant-style texture and helps keep the wrapper soft while letting the broth stay locked inside.

    Best Cooking Methods:

✅ Bamboo Steamer (Recommended) – 10-12 minutes over boiling water – perfect, delicate texture!
✅ Regular Steamer – Works well if you don’t have a bamboo steamer.
✅ Microwave (Fast but Not Ideal) – You can steam them in a microwave with a damp paper towel, but they sometimes get too soft or overcooked.

If you want the best experience, use a bamboo steamer!

Dipping Sauce – Do You Need One?

These dumplings have plenty of flavor on their own, but I still like dipping them in a simple soy sauce with chili oil for an extra kick. If you’re a pho purist, you can even add a squeeze of lime and some fresh herbs to mimic a bowl of pho!

    Pros & Cons

    Pros:

✔ Great beef pho broth flavor – rich and aromatic
✔ Soft, delicate wrapper – not too thick or chewy
✔ Cooks perfectly in a bamboo steamer
✔ Good portion size per bag – lasts for multiple meals

    Cons:

❌ Could use more beef filling – broth is the main focus
❌ Not as good in the microwave – steaming is the best method

Final Verdict – Would I Buy It Again?

Overall, these Mila Beef Pho Flavor Soup Dumplings from Costco are a fantastic, unique option. The broth is rich and flavorful, and the dumplings have a delicate, thin wrapper that I love. While I wish there was a bit more meat inside, they’re still a solid 4 out of 5 for me and my family.

Since I cook them in a bamboo steamer, I always get the perfect soft, juicy texture. If you love pho and dumplings, these are definitely worth trying!

    Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (⅘) – Delicious & Worth Trying!

Would I buy it again? Yes! It’s a fun, flavorful option to keep in my freezer.
