I’m always looking for quick, easy meal options at Costco, and Aidells Teriyaki & Pineapple Chicken Meatballs caught my eye as something that could work for a variety of meals. I love having pre-cooked protein on hand for those busy days when I don’t have time to cook from scratch, so I had high hopes for these. Also they were on sale!

The sweet and savory combo sounded interesting, and since we already enjoy other Aidells products, I figured these would be worth trying. Spoiler: They’re tasty, but you have to pair them with the right sides!
Taste and Texture
The first bite was definitely on the sweeter side—you can really taste the pineapple, which gives them a tropical, slightly tangy flavor. The teriyaki glaze adds a bit of umami, but it leans more toward sweet than savory. The chicken is tender and juicy, and the meatballs have a nice soft but not mushy texture.
I personally like a more balanced sweet-salty flavor, but these meatballs were so moist.

How I Like to Eat Them
Since these are already fully cooked, they heat up in minutes, making them super convenient. Some of my favorite ways to enjoy them:
✔️ With rice and stir-fried veggies – The best way to soak up the sweetness.
✔️ In lettuce wraps with a little sriracha mayo – Adds some spice to balance them out.
✔️ On skewers with grilled pineapple and peppers – Great for a quick, fun meal.
✔️ Chopped into a noodle stir-fry – Makes for a fast and flavorful dish.
My kids enjoyed them with Costco Mac and Cheese and it was a perfect pairing! Like it was so delicious , they had it for lunch and then for dinner as well.

How They Compare to Other Meatballs
Compared to other Aidells meatballs, these are sweeter than the Italian-style or spicy varieties, so it really depends on what you’re in the mood for. They’re not as versatile as a classic meatball, but if you like Hawaiian-inspired flavors, these are a great option.

Pros and Cons
Pros:
✔️ Fully cooked—super fast and easy to heat up.
✔️ Sweet, juicy flavor with real pineapple chunks.
✔️ Great for pairing with rice, noodles, or stir-fried veggies.
✔️ High-quality chicken with no weird fillers.
Cons:
❌ A little too sweet on their own—best when paired with something savory.
❌ Not as versatile as traditional meatballs.
❌ If you don’t like pineapple in savory dishes, these might not be for you.

Location in Store
You’ll find these in the refrigerated section at Costco, near the other pre-cooked meats and sausages. Right next to Amylu Foods Chicken Breakfast Sausage Links and West End Cuisine Chicken Skewers.

Final Verdict
I like having these as an easy protein option for nights when I need something fast. They’re sweet, juicy, and great in Asian-inspired meals, but I wouldn’t use them in just any dish because of the pineapple flavor.
If you love teriyaki and don’t mind a touch of sweetness, these are worth trying!
