    Kirkland Signature Almond Croissants

You know that moment when you tell yourself, “I’ll just have half”? Yeah. That doesn’t work with Kirkland Signature Almond Croissants. We’ve tried. These things are rich, flaky, sweet, and almost too easy to love.

We grab a box pretty regularly now, especially when we want something that feels a little fancy without needing to turn on the oven at 6am. But let’s be honest—they’re pretty heavy, so maybe don’t plan on running a marathon right after eating one.

    What’s in the Box?

You get six large croissants, filled with almond paste and topped with sliced almonds and a dusting of powdered sugar. They come in the fresh bakery section, not the freezer aisle, so they’re ready to eat right away (or warm up if you’re like us and want that fresh-baked vibe).

They’re also huge. Like, you-could-slice-this-in-thirds-and-still-have-a-snack huge.

    How We Eat Them

We usually warm them up in the air fryer or toaster oven for a few minutes—just enough to crisp the outside and get the filling all soft and gooey inside. You don’t have to heat them, but it makes them taste like they just came out of a bakery case in Paris.

They go really well with coffee in the morning or as an afternoon treat when you need a little sugar-and-butter boost to survive the rest of the day.

    Flavor and Texture

They’re everything you’d want in an almond croissant:

    • Buttery and flaky on the outside
    • Moist and dense on the inside
    • The almond filling is sweet, nutty, and rich
    • Topped with just the right amount of sliced almonds for crunch

But they are very rich. Like, definitely-share-with-someone rich. If you eat a whole one, you’ll feel it. Still worth it, though.

    What We Pair Them With

Honestly? Just coffee or tea most of the time. But they also make a fun dessert when you:

    • Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream
    • Serve them with fresh fruit
    • Heat and drizzle with a little melted chocolate

Or just sneak one after the kids go to bed. We’ve done that too.

    Pros and Cons

    What We Love:

✔️ Flaky, buttery, and packed with flavor
✔️ Almond filling is sweet but not overwhelming
✔️ Great bakery-style treat without leaving the house
✔️ Easy to reheat and serve
✔️ Makes you feel slightly fancy

    What Could Be Better:

    ❌ They’re heavy—definitely not a “light breakfast”
❌ Very rich, so probably not an everyday treat
❌ Powdered sugar = guaranteed shirt mess

    Location in Store

Find them in the Costco bakery section, usually near the muffins, Costco Butter Croissants, Costco Onion & Cheese Pinwheels and danishes. They come in a clear plastic container with six big croissants and zero warning about how addictive they are.

    Final Thoughts

We love these almond croissants and keep coming back to them when we want something indulgent. They’re great for special breakfasts, casual brunches, or “I deserve this” moments in the middle of the week. Just don’t expect to eat one and bounce off to yoga class—this is more of a take-a-nap-after situation.

    ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ (4 out of 5 stars)
Super delicious, but super rich. A once-in-a-while treat we keep accidentally buying every time.
